I’ve come full circle. Now I’m home again, with bags to unpack and clothes to wash, new time to get used to, and errands to run. I have to go to the Post Office to get all my saved-up mail, I have to refill my medications, I need a hair-cut, I have to buy food. All of this I hope to do tomorrow, as in Monday, because after that we are getting a winter blast!
For now, let me show you some of the beauty I enjoyed in the clouds, or should I say from above the clouds. I had window seats so I could take these pictures. And the weather was perfect!
From Gothenburg to Berlin
From Berlin to Chicago
Chicago is situated by one of the Great Lakes, the one that is totally within the borders of the United States. When I first saw Lake Michigan from above, I mistook it to be the ocean, then I remembered it was a lake. What a beautiful sight!
It was amazing to look out over this big city. I remember hearing years ago that more people live in Chicago than in all Sweden. This is the city where my brother Pepe started his “American” life. That’s where he found his bride, my very favorite sister-in-law.
Lord willing, next year there will be another story from Sweden. We hope Dad will be with us so we can celebrate his 95 years. That’s the plan. I pray God’s blessing over our planning!
