Dress Up

Here are some children that enjoyed themselves dressing up. They had a Harvest Party at their church Saturday, a common alternative for Halloween festivities.

David was Captain Rex from Star Wars. That’s his big interest right now. Lana, true to her tradition was an animal, this time a cat. But she decided that next year she wants to be something other than an animal. She is the animal lover. Brianna was a cow girl and our little Sarah, what do you think? If you have followed my blogs lately you know she loves Rapunzel, so that’s what she dressed up as.

Here is a lovely picture of a brother and a sister. Not too often do I see them hugging that hard.

One of the activities was to make a funny mask, and here is the cow girl doing hers.

This evening they will put on their costumes again and go around collecting some candy. One thing we make sure is that none of the “evil” talk about Halloween comes into out vocabulary. No witches, ghosts, skeletons…

Now here is a fun way of dressing up your mail box. We drove by it today and my camera cried for a picture. I wonder how many will put candy in those “heads”?

God dresses up his trees very beautiful. How about these?

The time has come to go get the candy. We’re driving off  but not with Sarah at the wheel. She got to ride a car this morning when we went into town. I hope the kids have fun.

Happy kids make happy parents.
Happy kids and parents make a very happy grandmother.
A happy grandmother will call for more blogs!

Are you looking forward to some fun?

About kelund

My name is Kerstin Anderas-Lundquist. I was born in Sweden to Per & Brita Anderas, on March 6, 1946. In 1948 we left to begin a missionary life in Chile; in 1956 we moved on to Peru. On May 1, 1969 I married an all-Swedish guy from Karslkrona: Bengt Göran Emanuel Lundquist. God blessed us with two daughters: Eva-Marie Elizabeth and Ruth Carina. We served as missionaries in Peru and Bolivia. In 1988 we moved to the United States to work at Life Publishers in Miami, Florida. I was to assist in developing the line of Sunday School Curriculm in Spanish known as Vida Nueva. I live in Springfield, Missouri, and am retired from work at the Assemblies of God Headquarters. My husband and daughter Eva-Marie have been promoted to Heaven. Carina is married to Thom Cole and they have given me four gourgeous grandchildren, even five (teen-age John). I will be writing about my life, past and present, blended with visions for the future. My deepest desire is to spread the “seed of love”–inspiration to serve God and our neighbors with love and compassion.
