D is for David

On the Yankee Tour I didn’t only see windows, I saw a D. And D is for David, my favorite boy in all the world. I took the picture.

And then I worked on it, to make the following. It’s so much fun to find something and then make something else out of it.

That is probably the way God works with us. He sees something in the rough and envisions what he can make of it. That’s what we have to keep in mind. We are just like a plain, old D. But, boy, oh boy, when God works on us we can be something wonderful. Like the song about the capital P.

I am a promise, I am a possibility.
I am a promise with a capital P.
I am a great big bundle of potentiality!

I had a print-out from the doctor’s office and it had 66 on it. It wasn’t 666! It dawned on me that I was that 66. It’s like life had just passed like a wind. It’s hard to recognize you’re on the other side of the hill. But the years that are left can be the best ones. Whatever stage in life we’re in, we can make it the best!!!

You are a promise.  Be open to God’s leading and let him use the potentiality in you.

I get excited writing about this. I’ve spent the day working on a story about a lady who tried to make a girl tell a lie, but the girl had learned in church that lying is sin. She stood her ground and did not lie. That’s the kind of people we need to be. Know what is right and do it!

Let me put a period here because this could be a long story. When I think of myself in God’s hands and the possibilities that he sees in me, I want to shout for joy. I know he sees possibilities in all his children. The question is, Are we willing to let him work in our life as he wishes?

Aside from the windows and the D, I saw some beautiful flowers. Enjoy some of them!

About kelund

My name is Kerstin Anderas-Lundquist. I was born in Sweden to Per & Brita Anderas, on March 6, 1946. In 1948 we left to begin a missionary life in Chile; in 1956 we moved on to Peru. On May 1, 1969 I married an all-Swedish guy from Karslkrona: Bengt Göran Emanuel Lundquist. God blessed us with two daughters: Eva-Marie Elizabeth and Ruth Carina. We served as missionaries in Peru and Bolivia. In 1988 we moved to the United States to work at Life Publishers in Miami, Florida. I was to assist in developing the line of Sunday School Curriculm in Spanish known as Vida Nueva. I live in Springfield, Missouri, and am retired from work at the Assemblies of God Headquarters. My husband and daughter Eva-Marie have been promoted to Heaven. Carina is married to Thom Cole and they have given me four gourgeous grandchildren, even five (teen-age John). I will be writing about my life, past and present, blended with visions for the future. My deepest desire is to spread the “seed of love”–inspiration to serve God and our neighbors with love and compassion.
