I’m working on lessons for VBS using the hand to remember the salvation message. It’s nothing new—really, there is nothing new under the sun. Each finger represents one of the main points. I’m going to illustrate it with hearts and I had my grandchildren be my helpers.
Here is the English text. I’m writing the lessons in Spanish but my hopes are to also do them in English.
I’m a sinner—God loves me—Jesus died for me—I receive Jesus—I’m saved
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
To all who received [Jesus], to those who believed in his name, [God] gave the right to become children of God.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.
This is in synthesis the greatest message in the world. I hope you have received Jesus as your Lord and Savior. If not, do it right now. He is your only hope for eternal life with God. And for an awesome life of fellowship with him here on earth.
I cannot imagine a life without my precious Savior Jesus Christ!
