The children got a beautiful present each for Christmas, called Dream Light. It’s an animal toy that lights up as “millions” of stars, shining in the ceiling.
Little Sarah had her turn to spend the night with me and we lay in bed enjoying the “star show” with stars moving around in the ceiling and changing colors, from blue to green to yellow to purple. What a happy memory we made!
Thousands of years ago a man was looking up at the stars in the sky, probably not understanding the meaning of the promise God had given him, that his descendents would be as numerous as the stars in the sky. He was old, and had no children, but he held on to the promise.
Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead-since he was about a hundred years old-and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.
If you want an interesting experience buy yourself a Dream Light and lay in bed dreaming. Look up into the ceiling, enjoy the stars, and dream!

What are you dreaming about for the coming year? What are your dreams for the future? Look up into the sky on a starry night and dream.
My mom used to dream about going to Australia and Hawaii. She would say that it doesn’t cost anything to dream. She’s right. You can dream big! Just as my grandson David says, “Do it! Just do it!”
Dream with the stars. Dream big for 2013!
