The 3:17’s Blessings

The division of the Bible text into chapters and verses were added long after the Bible was written. Around AD 1227, Stephen Langton, an Archbishop of Canterbury in England, added the chapter divisions. The division of the chapters into verses was added later.

I’ve made an interesting study of the 3:17’s. In some cases I’ve added the verses before or after to make the content more relevant.

Filled to the measure

Zephaniah 3:17
The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing.

Habakkuk 3:17-19
Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.
The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to go on the heights.

Daniel 3:16-18

Ezekiel 3:17-19

Ephesians 3:16-19

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Make your own study of chapters and verses. Check the 3:16’s. That’s another interesting study. Whatever your methods are, however you like to it, the important thing is to study God’s Word.
