Wonders of the Sky

I’ll give you a hint. Tomorrow I might be more inclined to go into details. Now I have to take care of my jet lag. Guess where I am and where I’ve been?

I’ve been enjoying the skies; more yesterday than today. So much that I’ve been singing “Hay ventanas en el cielo azul,” which is a song in Spanish talking about the windows of heaven..

I guess by now you have figured out that I’ve been on a plane, and I had views of the sky, from the sky. And I saw the moon in all its glory. My assistant Cristina has been hard at work today figuring out how to enhance the picture.

It is the moon! Considering the little hand-size camera I have, I’m very happy about the picture. Read the verses in Psalm 8:3-4. When we consider the greatness of Creation, and that God is mindful of us, it really makes us very small. We’re just like little ants compared to our majestic God. But because of his love and grace we can enjoy his Creation!

Chicago from the air

Clouds over ChicagoI was enjoying the skies for one part of the trip. Then I got a big wing to look at! And on the other side I was wheeled around on the runway. It was one of those things that don’t happen very often, and the attendant was happy to take a photo.

I’ll keep you guessing until tomorrow. As I said, there is jet lag to take care of. I’ve been very busy the last week. And the business doesn’t stop because I’m half way around the world.

Here’s something else very unusual. If you’re from Peru you recognize the corn. How it got from Huancayo to where I am, and passed security in Peru, in Miami, in… I’m not giving it away. But not in my wildest dreams could I imagine myself eating “real” Peruvian corn as a welcome meal.

Does the man in the picture give you a clue? He counted each little piece! As I said, I’ve got jet lag. I’ll be happy to share my new adventures as soon as I get that taken care of.

Enjoy God’s love and blessings! “See” you tomorrow!

About kelund

My name is Kerstin Anderas-Lundquist. I was born in Sweden to Per & Brita Anderas, on March 6, 1946. In 1948 we left to begin a missionary life in Chile; in 1956 we moved on to Peru. On May 1, 1969 I married an all-Swedish guy from Karslkrona: Bengt Göran Emanuel Lundquist. God blessed us with two daughters: Eva-Marie Elizabeth and Ruth Carina. We served as missionaries in Peru and Bolivia. In 1988 we moved to the United States to work at Life Publishers in Miami, Florida. I was to assist in developing the line of Sunday School Curriculm in Spanish known as Vida Nueva. I live in Springfield, Missouri, and am retired from work at the Assemblies of God Headquarters. My husband and daughter Eva-Marie have been promoted to Heaven. Carina is married to Thom Cole and they have given me four gourgeous grandchildren, even five (teen-age John). I will be writing about my life, past and present, blended with visions for the future. My deepest desire is to spread the “seed of love”–inspiration to serve God and our neighbors with love and compassion.
