Be Joyful

“Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus” (Phil 2:5).

Be joyful

BE JOYFUL
Be joyful always. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. (1 Thess 5:16; Ps 100:2)

This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot. (Ecclesiastes 5:18)

To find satisfaction, to find JOY in you daily work, that is good. I find such joy and satisfaction in what I’m doing, that I gladly spend 16 hours doing it! That’s what I did yesterday. There was no blog. I was busy, busy (like the little bees I’m using to illustrate my points). In a few days I’ll share with you a very “cute” story of a boy and a dog that found JOY in each others company.

For now, let me just give you something to “munch” on about JOY.

These are some ABC’s of the Joy God brings to my Heart. I’m sure you can agree with me. “A happy heart makes the face cheerful” (Prov 15:13). May you always keep a song of praise to God in your heart, and your face will smile!

Things about God that make me happy:

Admirable answers to prayer

Blessings beyond belief

Comforting and caring counsel

Delightful deeds of deliverance

Ever-present eyes of encouragement

Faithful forgiveness and freedom

Glorious gift of grace

Holy hope and honor

Incomparable inheritance in Immanuel

Joyous justification in Jesus, my

King and kinsman Redeemer

Living, longsuffering love

Majestic and miraculous mercy

Noble new name (Revelation 2:17)

Opportunities to obey my omnipotent Father

Perfect peace and prevailing power of prayer

Quietness and quickening of the soul

Redeeming, righteous refuge

Splendor of glorious salvation

Tender truth and tenacious tolerance

Unfailing understanding

Victory through my victorious Lord

Wealth of the wondrous Word of God

eXalted expectation

Yesterday, today, and forever He is the same

Zion awaits!

Be joyful always!

About kelund

My name is Kerstin Anderas-Lundquist. I was born in Sweden to Per & Brita Anderas, on March 6, 1946. In 1948 we left to begin a missionary life in Chile; in 1956 we moved on to Peru. On May 1, 1969 I married an all-Swedish guy from Karslkrona: Bengt Göran Emanuel Lundquist. God blessed us with two daughters: Eva-Marie Elizabeth and Ruth Carina. We served as missionaries in Peru and Bolivia. In 1988 we moved to the United States to work at Life Publishers in Miami, Florida. I was to assist in developing the line of Sunday School Curriculm in Spanish known as Vida Nueva. I live in Springfield, Missouri, and am retired from work at the Assemblies of God Headquarters. My husband and daughter Eva-Marie have been promoted to Heaven. Carina is married to Thom Cole and they have given me four gourgeous grandchildren, even five (teen-age John). I will be writing about my life, past and present, blended with visions for the future. My deepest desire is to spread the “seed of love”–inspiration to serve God and our neighbors with love and compassion.
