I’ve had many occasions in life to practice patience. During this visit to Sweden my computer and I have not seen eye to eye. Most of the time there has been some activity going on in the background, to slow me down, to make my mouse go “crazy.” These last few days have been the worst, making it almost impossible to work, other than in plain WORD format, but I need to work with other programs.
I’ve now had an hour of “peace” with the mouse probably sick and tired. Maybe it’s taking a nap! So, before it wakes up, let me show you something that has been a highlight for me.
This is a game of Scrabble in Swedish. I used to play it with my late daughter Eva-Marie. Sometimes my late husband would join in. Whenever Dad visited us I would play it with him. Then there were many years of “silence.” So, on this trip I took the game with me. The book Mary is keeping score in, has all the games played from 15 years back. What a treasure!
Each page with the scores is a treasured memory.
Now the “trial of my patience” has started again. Why couldn’t the mouse sleep a little longer? Maybe because I should go to sleep! It’s past bed-time in Sweden. It’s morning in Missouri and Oklahoma. I can picture my daughter getting ready for another work-day. Soon she will wake the kids. Her husband is probably already off to work.
So, if I don’t “show up” for a few days, you know why. The trial of my patience is going on!
Go to sleep little mouse and let me work! That’s not the solution. Stop jumping around, little mouse! I’ve had enough trail of my patience!
This mouse situation has totally messed me up. It’s not morning in Missouri and Oklahoma. It’s time for dinner! My sweet daughter must be ready to cook for her family. Enjoy your meal!
