This was going to be a “spend-it-alone” Christmas! Father had different plans for me. Here I am, 12.00 midnight, waiting for my guests. I am having visitors from Mexico!
One of the Sunday school teachers that uses my on-line materials is coming with her family. You might remember from back in March when I had my birthday and received a package from a Sunday school in Mexico?! Pilar wasn’t happy with just sending a package, she wanted to be the gift herself.
Pilar, her husband and two children are somewhere between Tulsa and Springfield. Rather then looking for a hotel they opted to drive on, making it three long days of travel.
While I wait, let me tell of a very pleasant surprise I had today. My kids came to visit. Just a short visit but with enough time for them to open their presents.
Sarah wished for an I-pad but her mother told her it was too expensive, so then she wished for an I-pod. When I found out about it, and since I don’t use mine very much, how could I resist my precious Sarah-Princess’ wish!
You should have seen her expression when she opened her package. She gave off a cry of delight, “Oh, another electronics!” She has loved electronics almost since a baby! No wonder! Both her Dad and her big brother are IT-guys!
Something a little out of the ordinary happened this week. A handy-man came to fix a couple of things that were pointed out in the home inspection. When he was done he knocked on the door and told me it was God’s blessing. I understood it to be a gift from him to bless me, but the next day there came an invoice. What did he mean? Maybe you can figure it out for me!
I have somebody that has promised to drive the moving truck. I have made a reservation. January 21st I will need help to load the truck. January 23rd I will need help in Fort Gibson to unload. In between, I need lots of help with packing.
Tomorrow I will have to get acquainted with my guests. And we will enjoy Christmas.
Now I wish that you and yours have a very blessed Christmas.
