Lost Glasses and Messed-up Files

I haven’t lost any glasses; not yet at least. I just found out about a young man in Peru who lost his new glasses, and they were not even paid for yet! He was traveling on public transportation and was robbed of his glasses and also his cellphone and his ear phones.

This young man had been very excited about his glasses. He got them during his winter break from school. Now classes are in session again, and they are lost! What a disappointment!

It’s nothing uncommon. When I lived in Peru I had to travel with the windows rolled up, in the heat (no air conditioning in the car). Or else, when I stopped at an intersection I could lose my glasses. People would run up to a car and pull on glasses, ear rings, necklaces, rings, or whatever they could get during the short stop.

Now days I live kind of sheltered in my little world. But these are things that happen all the time. Why can’t we live in peace and respect each others property? There is a day, and I’m sure it’s coming soon, when there will be peace on earth. Of course, first the things written about in the Book of Revelation have to take place. I feel so blessed that I know Jesus and can look forward to eternity with God and his angels. It’s going to be glorious!

I’m very busy these days fixing the problem I wrote about recently. I have to put aside many thing to get it done. That’s why I haven’t been writing my blogs, which I like to do. But when I go back and check all the distorted files because of special “effects” that I added, wanting to make it look better, the only thing I can say is that my teaching files are a “mess”!

It doesn’t help to put glasses on. You know, the colored ones, that are supposed to make thing look rosy and happy. Isn’t there a saying about looking through colored glasses. Do you think any of these would help?

Lentes divertidos

I’ll never forget when I ripped a whole sweater to do it over, so I could learn patience. I really was because I had run out of yarn and there was no way to get more of it. This was 45 years ago. I’m still practicing this virtue that God has plenty of. How patient he has to be with us!

Now I will continue, with all the patience I can muster, to correct all the messes up files. How will I do it? One file at a time!

May you have a happy and fun weekend. I know what I will be doing… One file at a time!
