3. BE FERVENT
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. (Rom 12:11)
Today one of my favorite girls in all the world is graduating from nursing school at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is the daughter of my missionary friends Bob & Noemi Caiazzo who work in Nicaragua.
In 2001 my husband and I went to Nicaragua to have teaching seminars. At that time I used overhead transparencies for my teachings. This girl, Jenny, was my helper in each of the seminars. She made sure I had the right transparency at the right time. She was 10 years old at the time. Now she is going to be a nurse. She has kept her spiritual fervor. She has been fervent in her studies. With her sweet and kind spirit she will make a wonderful nurse. Keep your spiritual fervor, girl!

How I wish I could be with Jennifer on this special occasion. Her mother was one of the girls in our youth ministry in Huancayo, Peru. She is a prime example of being fervent in serving the Lord. I wish you could visit them in Nicaragua and see them in action. Jenny’s father spreading the Gospel to police officers and baseball players. Jenny’s mother serving needy children with a clinic, bringing medical teams from the USA to help those who cannot afford medical care. Now, Jennifer will walk in their footsteps, as they follow Jesus.
I am privileged to have them as friends!
